Spencer Smith was the drummer for Panic! at the Disco, a band formed in 2004. Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz discovered the band online and signed them to Decaydance Records before they had played live. Smith played percussion on their first four albums: *A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out* (2005), *Pretty. Odd.* (2008), *Vices & Virtues* (2011), and *Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!* (2013).

Their debut album sold over two million copies, driven by the hit single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” which peaked at #7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and marked the band’s breakthrough. In 2008, *Pretty. Odd.* debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 but didn’t maintain its chart position long.

In 2007, Spencer Smith helped sign The Cab to Decaydance Records.
