Despite bullying in elementary school, his love for the game grew. In sixth grade, he made waves with his first official dunk while playing with the San Diego Sharks. He continued to rise through the ranks.

During his seventh and eighth grades, Williams gained recognition as the number one player in the 2023 class by the Naismith National Youth All-American Report. He joined the North Coast Blue Chips AAU team and played alongside Bronny James, LeBron James’ son, making a name for himself. Williams later played for the Compton Magic on the AAU circuit in 2019.
